From the Flintstones to Friends, dinosaurs and fossils are no stranger to pop culture. UNL is fortunate to have our own Morrill Hall on campus to serve as a facility of learning and growth in both science and history. Three ALEC Students: Ashley Neujahr, Katie Nolles, and Chelsea Sidel will be live tweeting from Fossil Day on October 5th from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Ashley Neujahr is a junior Agricultural Education Leadership Option major from Waverly, Nebraska. Ashley is passionate about leadership and wants to use her education after graduation to promote youth leadership development. Katie Nolles is a junior from Bassett, Nebraska. She is majoring in Agricultural Education – Teaching and has minors in Leadership-Entrepreneurship and Nebraska Beef Industry Scholars. Chelsea Sidel is a senior from Abie, Nebraska. She is majoring in Agricultural Education Leadership Option and has minors in Environmental Education and Agricultural Environmental Sciences Communication. All three are students in ALEC 350: Agriculture, the Environment, and Science in Media.
The students will interview a scientist to get facts and discover his passion for paleontology. Stay tuned to @Streaming_Sci on Twitter and the hash tags #morrillhallunl, #IANRSciLit, #ThisIsCASNR, and #ALEC for this exciting event!
