Drone and Sensor Technology Aid Recovery

This podcast is part of the Streaming Science: The Science of Superstorms series. Graduate and undergraduate students in AEC 4036/6932 created these podcasts. The courses are offered in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication at the University of Florida.


In this track of the The Science of Superstorms series, James Fletcher, UF/IFAS extension agent, shares his experience adapting his work with drone and sensor technology to aid in agricultural producer’s recovery after Hurricane Michael devastated the Florida panhandle in the fall of 2018, and discusses the important implications his technology has in future disaster recovery. UF AEC graduate student Zoe Bowden created and hosted this podcast.
