Exploring Climate Change through the Effects of Soils

A feature story about Dr. Seeta Sistla and her work studying soil and climate change.

Dr. Seeta Sistla is an assistant professor in the Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences Department at Cal Poly. Dr. Sistla’s focus is to research soils, plants, and microbial communities to determine how these components are affecting environmental change. Dr. Sistla is involved in The Polaris Project where she spends time in the Arctic researching the environmental changes that occur there. Sam Santos, Will Peterson, and Jonna Lemstra are students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Science at Cal Poly and developed a photo essay about Dr. Sistla and her work.
