Much like everyone, we experienced major transitions in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Agricultural Education and Communication faculty and students at the University of Florida moved from regular in-person classroom-based teaching and learning to fully online education and communication environments. However, undergraduate students in AEC 4035: Communication Practices for Agricultural and Natural Resources remained positive, adjusted several of their final projects, and found ways to document COVID-19’s impacts through photo essays from different perspectives.

Kayla Bashore, an agricultural education and communication student at the University of Florida, developed a photo essay dedicated to highlighting the work of medical personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic.
