Join Ashley Kuhn and Tylyn Tarter as they explore Lake Okeechobee and invasive plants. Lake Okeechobee is the largest freshwater lake in the state of Florida. It is known as one of the last natural wilderness areas in the surrounding cities. It is a large contributor to South Florida’s water supply. Due to its importance, identifying and controlling invasive species is a necessity in order to prevent ecological and water-use devastation.
