This project is part of our Nature Narrative photo essay series, which focuses on different nature sites in the state of Florida. Students visited their selected sites and gave detailed descriptions of their experiences and the scenery around them, while highlighting aspects of the environment that are important to the state of Florida.
Moriah Williams, a master’s student studying organic and sustainable crop production at the Gulf-Coast Research and Education Center, chose to write her Nature Narrative about a place that is close to her literally and figuratively. Boyd Hill is located a short distance from Moriah’s family home where she grew up, and she visited the preserve frequently.
