The University of Florida is home to the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) Horticultural Sciences Department’s Teaching Garden where students and researchers can experiment with different kinds of agricultural techniques like planting, grafting, trellising, and fertilizing – to name a few examples.
UF Department of Agricultural Education and Communication student Maggie Murphy created a Labs and Landscapes virtual tour of a few different areas of the garden using a Ricoh Theta camera and the online stitching software Theasys.
To view/interact with the VR tour:
- Option 1: smartphones with Google Cardboard or other viewers
- Option 2: view the tours via desktop computers or tablets
- Option 3: project the tour on a screen at the front of a classroom to view as a group
