A feature story about Dr. Guy Bates and his work with senior Cal Poly students and their fabrication projects.

Dr. Guy Bates is an assistant professor in BioResource and Agricultural Engineering Department at CalPoly. Dr. Bates is an advocate for students learning through real-world and hands-on projects. He believes that students reach a different level of problem solving by being put into real-world situations to learn. Lily Tillery and Brooklyn Petersen, CalPoly students, developed a photo essay to share Dr. Bates’ story.
